Instead, an animated series is in the works called Sausage Party: Foodtopia, which is set in the same world as Sausage Party and will likely see a lot of the original cast reprising their roles in the episodes. Sausage Party sequel updates aren't actually relating to an actual movie follow-up to the 2016 animated movie at all.
